In this video I’m showing you how I paint melamine. Melamine can be a tricky product to paint since the surface is completely non-absorbent, slightly shiny and if you don’t follow the correct steps the paint won’t properly bond to it properly. Hopefully this video gives you a practical solution for painting melamine using a roller or brush. Obviously if you really want to push the final quality of finish you can go down the spray route, not covering that in this video though.

What paint did you use for the top coat? I'm having real trouble with my cupboards! And no realised they are melamine wood after watching this. I have started with chalk paint! But it looks terrible. Please help!!

Which kind of roller would you recommend as best for it as seen different recommendations about a latex etc?
MFC and MDF what is the difference and how to identify it. My mom have some cabinet that look like laminate they are just ugly color. I want to paint it for her but i have no clue how and now i see there is different material that looks the same.
Would this work if i used a rose gold emulsion on the ikea lack shelves? If i primed it first
