Tile Trim, Edges, Finish, some tile edge trim ideas and options.
Some tile edge trim ideas and options. Bull nose is probably the most common type of edge trim for ceramic and porcelain tile, and is also used with marble and natural stone tiles. In this video I give you a few more options and combinations that can be used and why you might choose to use something other than a simple bullnose. Some of the options available include ceramic or marble chair rails, Ceramic or marble or even glass pencil liners. Metal trims like Schluter Rondec, or sheen, Mitered edges for tile corners, polishing marble tile edges and even through body porcelain tiles is a good option. Just a few of the possibilities that can update and give a more modern clean look to a bathroom, shower or any kind tile installation on walls and floors that need to have a tile termination trimmed.

How do you Tile around a Bullnose, drywall corner???
Thank you! Good information here.
jesus man, you did not show anything hing
Help Sal! I don't know how to select the proper schluter edge for a large format 3D tile. I have a 16×32 3D tile that the thickness varies from 5/16 to 3/8. I've watched every video I can find on notch size for thinset and installing schluter bars. I just don't know if 3/8" Jolly will work or if I have to go to a 1/2" on that 3D tile. Schluter says might be best to upsize for large format but is an 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch too much to add for the schluter? I'm afraid it could stick out to far in spots and look bad. I also have a 12 x 24 porcelain tile that is 5/16 so it seems I would be safe with a 3/8" Jolly schluter for a shower curb and wall edge. Thanks for everything you do here on your channel. You have helped me so much.
So my contractor create a niche and forgot to add the trim – what are my options now? (yes I am PISSED)
do i wish i had watched this 15 years ago before a 'professional' tile guy completely messed up a new tiled bathroom …
