  • Ha... don't we all. You just control length by holding the handle down. That's the whole idea. Push release for the small stuff, hold for the big stuff.

  • This is great! I had a plan on making my own dual flush toilet, but this seems much easier! Thanks so much for providing this water-efficient demo

  • Thanks for the video tutorial, I am going to make these adjustments to all my toilets. You saved me $20 a toilet for the dual flush float upgrade...I owe you a beer.

  • I molded and attached a piece of plasticine (about the size of a golf ball) on top of the flapper valve and therefore I can flush for as long as i hold the handle down. And the water stops flowing as soon as I release the handle. The rest works as usual... Very cheap and no tools needed... I just wanted to share since this worked for me...

  • Nice One. Incidentally you can also do a free DIY to convert a single flush siphon cistern to a dual flush. Feed a rubber hose into the siphon through a tight fitting hole and attach a weight and piece of string to the other end of the hose. Tie the other end of the string to the hole in the piston rod top, so if you hold the handle down during a flush you use only half the water. If you release the handle, as normal, the weight sinks to the bottom to get a full flush as no air is prematurely sucked in.
