  • How the hell the human race survive with all this crap all these years now everything kills you and bankrupts you.

  • Guys doing the coring should be wearing breathing masks. Silica isn't good for you either.

  • The top of the pipe should have a rain cap or a 'U' cap to keep rain out. The end should also have small enough openings, a piece of screen, to keep insects out.

  • How about the fact they installed the pipe to blow out all the gas into the air condition unit so now it’s getting pumped into the house.

  • I despise home inspectors and this Radon Gas SCAM is ridiculous. This will eventually be proven to be a total lie made to scare unsuspecting home buyers and sellers. You guys should all be put in jail for doing this to people when they are buying/selling a home.

  • Not to mention the installation cost of a mitigation system is way overpriced. They should charge no more than $500 to install a PVC pipe in a concrete slab, out of the wall and up the outside wall of the house.

  • One of the biggest scams going. EPA based their findings on a 50 year old study of, wait for it...uranium miners. Now in the USA the EPA limit is 4.0 pCi/L. But wait. OSHA who actually has enforcement powers limits says no more than 25.0 pCi/L per 8 hour working days based on a five day week. Finland did a study that showed no difference in cases of lung cancer and cases between homes with higher and lower radon levels. Worcester Polytechnic Institute did a study that showed low levels of radon reduced cases of lung cancer. There are other studies that show this. The EPA study uses a Linear-No-Threshold Model which greatly exaggerates radons effect. But try to tell that to an "expert" . Also ask the expert what he or she is measuring. Chances are they can't explain it to you. Is it the gas? If they say yes show the to the door. . Is it a measurement of radiation decay? Every company that performs the test bases their results on the EPA study, which, as stated earlier, is based on a study of uranium miners, most who smoked. The EPA started by saying 30K deaths a year then revised it down to 15K a year, but still clings to its Linear-No-Threshold Model. The EPA has a group who meets once a year at a resort somewhere to affirm their own findings. Educate yourselves before you let an expert (and what training defines expert) scare you into this malarkey. You can go on amazon and buy what the experts use. You'll notice reading jump all over depending on weather, humidity and atmospheric pressure. But there is a whole industry built around this. And here in the US before you sell your house it is one of the things you are forced into.
