• shouldnt swaging be only hard brass soldered? cant be arsed to look through british standards. beacuse i never purchased them

  job is 1frrst class. someone prolly told me long ago not to swage and soft solder. and it stayed with me.

• You should fill the boiler with dimineralised water by a special filter to protect it more instead of a dose of corrosion inhibiter.good job.

• I desperately need some help!!!! I just bought a commercial building with a 1902 gas hot water boiler with radiators I’m thinking are water as well. Looking at prestige combi by rheem, have to purchase using Home Depot charge. I am willing to cashapp or send money to someone who could just verify I’m heading in the right direction, no liability! My father is a contractor so I’m having him do the work since I can’t get anyone here for 2 months and I need to open my store but can’t because there is no heat and it gets up to -40 here so the sonnet I get it kickin the better

• That is a beautiful install, loving all the work done there it really looks great.

• i dont see many 15 mm mini shock arrestors on incomming mains pipework. with the internals on boilers being plastic and coming across a couple of blown plastic "shite" inside boilers recently where the boiler was well maintained.

  first thought water company had road workers letting air in exessivley (digging up other people problems) and causing problems when customers open hot water taps. water hammer blowing out plastic parts. 13 yr and 10 yr old boiler i fitted and looked after. not in the same location. miles apart but same locality.

  do you fit shock arrestors? wondering if i should.

  reason im asking is both customers didnt notice any "road works" water people. so maybe it's not air trapped water hammer. this isnt a bosch like leak 2 years after intall with pin hairs. they are splitting on the mains water side of the hyroblock.

  water main pressure tersted and within boiler tolerances.

• You must be Gas Safe and "ALSO" competent to do so. Unfortunately there's no "OR" competent. If youre not Gas Safe you shouldn't be working on any gas appliances.This competency thing is a common misconception Spread the word

• Why change all pipe work and should you have flushed system before installing boiler.

• Shouldn’t the filling loop be removable flexible?

• I wasn’t aware that they recommend compression fitting on the prv. I usually solder on to it so thanks for pointing that out. Love my Logic boilers still!
