Blog Post w/ Cut List : https://craftedworkshop.com/blog/live… In this video, I’ll show you how to build a live edge coffee table, and how to flatten the live edge slab using a router flattening jig. The process is simple and does a good job of flattening a large slab like this White Oak “cookie” slab.

Geez just use a couple of pieces of angle iron for your sled.. Faster and easier and mine has lasted for about 20 some years.. Not to efficient but this was probably your very first attempt.. So not to bad.. Buy why did you do it on the floor? I love when the grain shows through also.. Well all in all a fair build.. Just thought I would stop and see what you do.. carry on..
Any update on the severity of the crack? I recently made a side table very similar to this with a crack to the centre, but have been told that eventually it’ll split because the slab is thin (2inches).
Really simple! OK
Hallo, can you please tell me what is the liquid you are using tu clean the wood? Thanks a lot!!
Thanks Johnny!
I need a friend like Ryan. good job though. I'll be making one soon. How's this thing holding up
I think something that will go a long way if you're going to be doing lots of these types of projects, make sure your chainsaw is sharp! It will cut flatter cookies and will make the process much easier, although when drying it may still warp.
How long did it take to dry the cookie?
How much for something like this ?
Really cool project lovely slab but would have liked to have seen proper joinery in the base! But looks great
