  • OK so this rod was doomed from the beginning... How about a more fair test using a good, undamaged rod cutting it up with clean cuts that can be effectively bonded with good, clean, square surfaces?

  • My question is did he let it set a full 24 hours lol.A rods just a rod buy one not to much money. When you get a crack in a engine case and you can repair it for six bucks instead of 600 for j b weld will be your best friend

  • Ill give you a thumbber for that. You should have used the putty and made the cap and rod completely out of JB Weld.

  • This reminds me of the late 70s when a friend tried to glue a broken stylus back on to his vinyl record player

  • Maybe prep the rod like >< 360and fill the gap.
    That's how I'd weld it.

  • I don't know if somebody already said this or not but really can't just blame the JB weld he even said the rod was bent I mean look at it the circle is not even perfectly round I bet if the rod was truly that crooked it would have failed fast on its own.
just saying man don't get me wrong I love your videos I look forward to watching them all the time keep up the great work!!

  • It would be interesting to see if you can weld the rod back together with easy melt aluminum weld rods to see how long it would last
