I don’t understand when he says “twist the white wires together” one is black... so how do you know which of the black ones to attach to the white wire?
This looks like it 'could' be easy...but, the electricians' comments make me feel like this isn't something I should try? It takes a LONG time to get an electrician to come out, and about $200. for him to do this job. Also, can anyone explain why he explains to tie the 'white' wires together, and then proceeds to connect a white with a black? I see 2 black wires. How are you supposed to know which is which?
Why use a wire nut on a ground wire? Isn't the whole wire exposed?
