Why is it that most of these “professionals” don’t say the word ‘caulk’ correctly? Correct pronunciation: https://youtu.be/QnCSUd44Uwk
Amy Matthews hello! I am so glad I found your video where you are explaining in a very deep details about the installation and everything else about tile, ceramic , kitchen wall, you are very smart and kind and doing a super great job ! Thank you Michael Kogan
Wow... Now I’m not afraid to do it! I know I can!
In stead of inserting half pieces in the beginning just cut it straight down. It makes its own half pieces. It’s the same thing.
And I recommend using Mastik instead of thinset for glass tile backsplashes. Mastik is better for glass. It comes pre mixed in a bucket so it’s much easier to use.
Also use a grout float to press on the glass that way it all flattens out evenly.
If possible remove the outlets, they're a pain to work around and dangerous with damp thinset and grout (unless you kill the breaker) . Just be careful NOT to cover the screw holes that the outlets mount to.
