Kentucky stick chair, I made this folding lawn chair out of Cedar. Here are the measurements if you’d like to make one. This is a fun woodworking project that can be done in a day. The chair folds up for easy storage during the winter.

The first time I saw one of these was in Belize on my honeymoon in May this year. Can't wait to put one together for an anniversary gift! We cut down a cedar tree a few months before the wedding and had the trunk milled, so I'll be able to use some of that lumber in the build. It should make for a great gift! Thanks for the tutorial.

Is the thickness of the wood 1 1/2 inches or 1 inch?
If you wanted an adjustable seat back, could you do that by moving the stop blocks forward and back and securing with pins or something? Or do the mechanics not really work for this idea?
