Since the underlayment isn't glued to the concrete floor nor are the vinyl flooring glued to the underlayment, wouldn't walking on the surface after the completion of the vinyl flooring feel loose or detached? Or does it feel perfectly flat when walking?
If it vinyl why the phuck do you need a vapor barrier? I just ripped 67 year old solid oak parquet flooring in my rental apartment. It was sitting right on the concrete. No rot or anything. All the apartment buildings were all built like this. Tenants just destroyed it beyond repair and it's been sanded to many times. Back in the day they just knew what works. This Underlayment is total B.S. to get you to buy crap you don't need. Total greed.
This looks like a pretty easy installation -- for a squarish type room. But I wanted to use this in a bathroom that has to go around pipes and a toilet. How do you cut this material without a circular table saw?
