Hey... in my opinion, Stiebel Eltron are one of the best tankless water heaters in the market. I have a 3 bedroom-3 bathroom house and run hot water for the whole house with a DHC6-2 6KW 240v unit (please bear in mind that I live in the tropics - not the states). I first bought this Stiebel unit back in 2004 and it lasted me 14 years with no maintenance whatsoever at all (as a matter of fact I dont know if it requires maintenance). When this unit broke down (something about some micro-switches and burnt down resistor), I just decided to replace it with the same unit. So replacement was take old one down-put new one in with no hole drilling whatsoever. And I am clearly expecting 14 more years of service with this new one (lol).

I just finished mine. The only thing is that my water pressure is so good that on my tub, with a single handle faucet, the flow is too fast for the heater to heat the water (water saver shower head is fine). To save the heater units, it goes to low power mode. I just need to install a flow reduction valve inline to the tub and i'll be good to go!

I would like to know, if you know of course.
Has you measured or asked the Stiebel, if the temperature is set up only for 38 celsius degree,(not to 60 degree), and the device is 18 kw power, is it turning on to 18 kw power, or it is only partially (e.g. 13 kw to reach 38 degrees water? or the water demanding would be modified and the consumption is allways 18 kw/24kw... ? Do you know that?
