– ball valves, used to shut off water before and after filter
– solderless brass fittings, for joining cold-water line to copper pipe and filter housing
– copper pipe, for connecting filter to cold-water line
– teflon tape, for sealing threaded fittings
– plywood panel, used to attach the filter’s mounting bracket

Tools for How to Install a Whole-House Water Filter:
– pliers, for tightening plumbing connections
– pipe wrench, for tightening plumbing connections
– ratchet wrench and sockets, for fastening the filter’s mounting bracket
– close-quarter hacksaw, used to cut water pipes

  • I think in England or France they used sharkbites way before they had them in the USA. They're rated for 20 years (I think) But I believe they could last 25-30

  • Do sharkbites break the electrical continuity? I'd rather sweat fittings on my main

  • My dude was in a hurry to finish it that he used sharkbites and no bypass.

  • But honestly, did anyone else have to rewatch this to see what the point of the second wrench was??? Lol I don't think the second wrench did a thing.

  • Oh, not all houses ground their electrical to the water pipes anymore either.
