What about a valve that is a splitter instead of having two valves which can spin when shutting off due to the push fitting?
He is not a plumber using shark bite soilder the damn thing it's cost less

Could you not tap into the water line above the original sink valve? is it necessary to do it below?
I will be getting a new fridge with water & ice maker. My dishwasher and sink are beside the fridge, can I add another shut off valve to the line for it under my sink?
