  • What type of appliance do you have at the reffered to other end?

  • The person inside the house does not necessarily have to see the top of the chimney. The flexible liner is designed to maneuver around offsets in the chimney. Of course if you are able to see straight down the flue, the installation should be a lot easier.

  • Chimney insulation is highly recommended but is not required.
It's recommended because it enables the flue to heat up more quickly and at a higher temperature which in turn induces an efficient draft and reduces the chance of creosote buildup.

  • I can't get a liner down the chimney to my furnace in the basement; an unused fireplace on the main floor is blocking the liner from reaching down to the furnace.

  • Generally in that type of situation there would be an offset around the fireplace. Feel free to give us a call if you need help.

  • Yes there are stainless steel 3" tees for flexible liners. Feel free to call, or even comment here, if you need help figuring out what would work with your particular setup.

  • Is it not necessary to run the liner any further down than just past the T-snout?  I have a stove on the main floor, but chimney runs all the way down to the basement. Thanks.

  • What to do if hot water vent and boiler use the same chimney? Right now the hot water vent goes on top into the basement brick. I think the chimney is behind it. Then the boiler vent go lower. How to make sure 2 are connected and seal?
