This project came to just under £50. (£49.09 to be precise although prices may change through the season and go up or down)
This is a great way to build a tandoor at home, using easy to buy materials. The tandoor uses charcoal to cook and allows you to cook naan on the side of it’s walls and use long metal skewers to perfectly cook meat and veg. Chicken Tikka anyone?
The heat for a tandoor is traditionally generated by a charcoal or wood fire, burning within the tandoor itself, thus exposing the food to live fire, radiant heat cooking, and hot-air, convection cooking, and smoking in the fat and food juices that drip on to the charcoal. Temperatures in a tandoor can approach 480 °C (900 °F), and it is common for tandoor ovens to remain lit for long periods to maintain the high cooking temperature.

Superb video.
Suggestion: wetting will cut down on the dust. If you fill a bottle up with water, then put a small hole in it and put it on top of the pot as you are cutting it, it will drip slowly as you're cutting to reduce the amount of dust that kicks up.
good job KId
Amazing! I’m going to try it! Does the bin need to be a specific kind of metal?
Thank you
Good stuff!
I hope Curry Dad did this and not Curry Kid.
Excellent tutorial, Josh. Your approach of using narrated photos for this build with 6 minutes of clear and instructions and tips works so much better than people putting up 30-minute videos where they just keep rambling on.
