How to Do a Furniture Front Facing Paint Pour Using DIY Paint

Link to my website for DIY Paint products:
https://www.upcyclingdandelion.com

List of things you’ll need:
-DIY Paint Products:
Choose various light and dark colors for contrast
Top Coats – I use Big Top for the pour and Clear Wax on the other parts
-plastic cups
-I use foam to apply the wax, you can also use a wax brush
-stir sticks
-hairdryers – you could also use straws to blow the paint
-Golden Brand – GAC 800 (optional)
-Flood brand – Floetrol (hardware store)
Cushion Seat – 4-inch foam – Upholstery fabric – Upholstery tacks

It takes the paint a while to dry, I used a fan to help the process. I would give it a couple of days depending on the area size and amount of paint.

  • Theresa, I’m so sorry about your paint pour fail. Funny how “failure” doesn’t always lead to being unsuccessful! Your piece is beautiful and your story was inspirational! #happyaccident.

  • Great video, Theresa. I love your dance at the end...fantastic! Looking forward to more videos...get on it girlll!!

  • Awe you're a darling. I understand about the weight thing. I appreciate you being so vulnerable, and knowing you've only been doing this a year gives me great hope that I can pull this off too. Your story about your friend & your shaman journey wow. I actually study w/a shaman for awhile & never had that experience. Very cool. Wishing you much success on your journey & keep on dancing!
