Firewood Rack – First MIG Welding Project

I finally get some gas for the welder, and I am excited to give it a go. Watch as an old table lamp becomes a convenient spot to store firewood on the outside patio. This project was fun and frustrating at times while I tried to dial in the welder settings, and my welding technique. The material didn’t make things any easier as it was thin, flimsy, and definitely not true.

In the end I succeeded in building a firewood rack. I learned that wire speed, gas flow rate, material preparation are just part of successful welding. Looking forward to more welding projects.

Remember, tools and DIY projects can be dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety.
