My husband found this wardrobe on the side of the road and brought it home for us to completely makeover. I was inspired by the look of chinoiserie and ginger jars and wanted to recreate that look and feel on a piece of bold furniture.
This second hand makeover is one of the several videos included in the thrift flip road trip playlist hosted by @Crafting Cousins

What did you think of this extreme makeover?
wished you would put the fabric on the door too,
So glad somebody else is using blue. I built my mother a drop leaf dining table and painted it Federal Blue from Old Fashion Milk Paint. So far she and I are the only ones who like it.
I have a small childs wardrobe very similar to this. I bought it about 15 years ago and have moved to different states 6 times in the past 15 yrs(husband was military) and took it with us with every move. I started to renovate it about 10 yrs but never fully finished it. Once I get my garage unpacked(just moved 3 months ago and didn't unpack fully due to renovating house first) and create a workshop in it, this will be my first project.
just found this and this turned out pretty darn good..
I have never seen the faux nail head trim, and hope to find some soon. That piece turned out so pretty. Can't wait to see what the other DIYers did. It'll be hard to top that one!
I watched all the clips and yours is, hands down, the winner.!!!
I like how you did this, and thanks for a nice choice of music!
