Please also help spread awareness regarding the ongoing 'Save Soil' movement. A 65 year old Indian man has undertaken a 30,000 km (within 100 days) solo motorbike ride across the Eurasian continent for the benefit of the entire world. He is being officially supported by the UNCCD as well as the UN WFP.
He plans to meet and engage with the people + leaders of 27 nations to introduce urgent policy action to save soil in their respective countries. Overall, this movement of his is an effort to bring a policy in 192 countries that if one owns agricultural land, a minimum of 3-6% organic content should be there (in the soil). Bringing such policies in effect will ensure adherence not just by our generation but also by all the future generations. He will be addressing all these nations in the upcoming COP 15 on May 09, 2022.
This one step of saving soil will contribute in solving multiple pressing global issues such as climate change (by reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere & putting carbon back in the soil, where it actually belongs), water and food scarcity, river deterioration, forced mass migrations owing to food and water scarcity, in addition to loss of livelihood for farmers and their suicides.
Though governments of most countries have already shown support for this movement, public support and awareness for this movement will ensure that the people in democracies communicate their support to their leaders and ensure timely action on priority.
Please visit savesoil'org OR consciousplanet'org for more details. You can also check out the consciousplanet channel on Youtube.
You need not support this, however if you feel that this is a sensible movement, support for the same on your channel would be a massive contribution from your end.
SAVE SOIL!!
Love what you do to the kitchen remodel, thanks for the tips.
