Today I’m building a set of modern outdoor benches using an awesome 2×4 box joint configuration. These benches were originally designed by DIY Candy, and because they had everything in a written article, I thought a video would be cool too. Be sure to

Has anyone made this bench with 2x6's instead of 2x4's?
Where is the math to make my own? I can’t find it in the article.
How did the benches hold up using the Thompson’s water seal? Curious how they are over time
Could you list some of the tools you recommend to get started?
I have zero in stock and want to budget to offset having to purchase the furniture.
What did you use to build this? Thanks!

Great Video, really enjoyed it! I did have a question. You said that you ran the 2x4's through the table saw to knock off the rounded edges. Did you also do that for the longer 2x4's on both sides?
HOw did you hide the nails form the nail gun?
