  • put some kind of shield above lites maybe a strip of mirror. are ceiling got dark spots wher the lites are, doing nice job

  • I can't see it being all that bad at all, because if you were to spackle over old spackle it is best to moisten the old stuff with a wet sponge to make sure it gets a good bite with the new. That is something I learned, and you just added to it.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow ! The damp sponge is so obvious its painful. Wish I had known that before finishing my basemnent drywall sanding. *COUGH* COUGH* GACK *****

  • I use 4,6,8,and 12" taping knifes. As you said when you hand tape the inside corners you can only do one side of the angle at a time,I like to make each side 5" wide. I do that by using the 4" knife to apply the mud then use your 6" knife to wipe it down.Applying more pressure on the paper side start at the top and pull down to about a foot from the bottom pull up the knife and turn it over come from the bottom and lap and blend.Use the 8" knife to scrape off the dry turds no sanding till end.

  • thin coats...I use my 9" mudknife as a scraper for the ridges etc instead of a sponge...whatever works...sanding sucks! Good video thanks!

  • My brother taught me the sponge trick a long time ago. Awesome video Rick!!! Alot better than dry sanding!
