• Dude - Kudos to you for getting your hands dirty and doing the work. More kudos for doing the video.. But good Lord, you do about 50% more work than you have to. How long did it take you to finish this project?

• Due to spacing and abundance of screws i am sure it's built strong , however when fastening for sheer strength in floor joist you should be using 10 or 16d nails as nails have many times the sheering force of screws .  

• Our bathroom looked really similar to yours. Our house is roughly 70 years old and where the floor has started to settle and sag, previous owners have just added more layers to it to make up for the difference. Long story short there was SIX layers of subfloor, vinyl and makeshift joists on top of it all. On the right side of the bathroom it was at the base level and on the left there was a slope that dipped over five inches that they essentially ramped up with all these layers, most of them rotted. I can't even describe what we found under there!

  We finally busted through all of it to get to the original joists and found that right at the toilet the joists had a big chunk cut out to fit the toilet sewage drain and they were just sitting there, essentially flapping in the breeze. It's amazing we haven't fallen through the floor! We had/have a large gap to fill there and your video was REALLY helpful at how to sister the joist and make it stable to lay out subfloor. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your progress, we've been referring to it regularly!
